comprised of some of the best Western Pennsylvania youth football organizations
including Ar-Ken, Avonworth, Baldwin, Bethel Park, Brentwood, Brookline, Carlynton, Chartiers
Valley, Montour, North Hills, South Park, South Side, Steel Valley, Thomas
Jefferson, Upper St. Clair, West Allegheny, and West Mifflin.
Based on a full league vote, the 2008 teams have been split into 3 separate divisions
within the same conference. A detailed look at the breakdown can viewed on
our Standings page.
The objectives set forth by the league representatives,
guide the operations of the SSYFL to ensure that every player be provided the opportunity
of playing, and that NO prospective player be cut from any team. All of the teams
demand that SAFETY is of prime importance for our young players.
The league believes that the program fee be as inexpensive as possible so more players
have opportunity to join a quality organization.
The South Suburban Youth Football League would like
to welcome Ar-Ken into the league for the 2008 season. We are very excited
to have another quality youth organization join the finest youth
football league in Western Pennsylvania. With the addition of Ar-Ken, we now have 17 different
youth organziations represented within the SSYFL.
The concept of the SSYFL is instructional; and teaching fundamentals
is paramount.
